What has changed
Delitero is launching soon. Join the waitlist and we will email you when it opens.
What has changed in the product, newest first. This lists things a business can see or use, on the date they landed. It is not a release log and carries no version numbers, because a version number is not a fact you can act on.
Destination tax, order texts, tips after delivery
2026-08-14
- Sales tax on a delivery order is now worked out from the address it is going to, not just from your premises, and re-quotes once the customer has typed a full address at checkout.
- Where a state or a city wants tax broken into separate lines, every receipt shows those lines with that jurisdiction's own labels.
- A customer can ask to be texted when a delivery goes out or a pickup order is ready. The box is unchecked by default and it is one text per order.
- A customer can add a tip after the order arrives, within a window you control. It goes to you in full.
- Drivers can report an abusive chat thread, and customer photos in a thread now load for the driver carrying that delivery.
- The driver app renders your state's own wording for the location-tracking notice and the food-safety acknowledgment where the state writes it itself.
Scheduled orders and preorders
2026-08-10
- Pickup and delivery each carry their own settings for ordering now, ordering for a time slot, and ordering for a date.
- You set how far ahead slots run, how long a slot is, and how many orders you take per slot and per date. A full slot says it is full.
- A preorder can be a date plus a collection window on that date.
- Where a free-cancellation deadline applies, the customer sees the deadline itself, and cancelling before it refunds in full automatically.
- Fee disclosures appear before the cart, not only at checkout.
Itemized tax and container deposits
2026-07-27
- Tax is broken into its real components, so an order can show more than one tax line where the rules require it.
- Container deposits are handled as their own line with the label the statute uses, rather than folded into a price.
Alcohol, the money engine, and multiple locations
2026-07-24
- Alcohol: an age gate at checkout, an ID check the driver must complete before delivery, five typed refusals, an automatic refund of the alcohol lines on a refusal, and a return leg. Alcohol is excluded from Delitero's 5% entirely.
- Sales tax is resolved from your address instead of being a number you type in.
- Regulated fees for your state appear as their own rows with the labels the state requires.
- Refund limits per role: no refunds, a capped amount, or no limit, enforced everywhere a refund can be issued.
- One account can hold several locations, with roles that apply to all of them or to specific ones.
- An activity register records who did what, and destructive actions ask for your password.
Per-order chat
2026-07-20
- A customer can message you about their order from the status page, and you answer from a Chats inbox. No phone numbers change hands and no account is needed.
- You can offer a refund inside the thread, and the customer accepts it there.
- Threads are deliberately short-lived: resolved threads archive after four hours, silent ones resolve after a day, and nothing lives past a week.
Your own delivery estimate, and honest dashboard deltas
2026-07-18
- You can publish your own delivery estimate, shown to customers as a range. It is your promise, not a routed ETA, and Delitero still invents no arrival times.
- Dashboard comparisons are against the same weekday last week, truncated to the same time of day, so a partial today is never compared to a full yesterday.
- The status page shows the delivery address on any device, not only the one that ordered.
Teams, promo codes, and paired devices
2026-07-06
- Invite managers and staff, with roles that decide what each can see and do.
- Promo codes apply at checkout, and the discount shows as its own receipt line.
- Pair an Orders-screen device with a six-digit code instead of a password, so no owner credentials sit on a counter.
- Receipt branding: your logo and a footer note on the emailed receipt.
- Email verification and password reset.
Delivery with your own drivers
2026-07-05
- Create driver accounts, assign a delivery, and follow it: accepted, picked up, out for delivery, delivered.
- A driver's location is sent only while a delivery is actually out, and only you can see it.
- A driver who cannot complete a delivery reports why, and the order comes back to you to reassign or cancel.
Quotes, tips, and scheduled pickup
2026-07-02
- Every number in the cart comes from the server, so the page can never show a total the charge disagrees with.
- Tips at checkout, exempt from the 5%.
- A closed business shows when it opens rather than a dead page.
How changes reach you
Changes are additive: fields are added, never removed or repurposed, so an embed you pasted a year ago keeps working. If a change affects the terms you are on, you get 30 days notice by email before it takes effect, and you can close your account before it does. That is written into the terms and is not something we can change by posting a new page.
