Bakery ordering is order-ahead ordering: the croissants sell out by ten, and the weekend cake run is planned days in advance. Delitero fits that shape with scheduled pickup up to 7 days out and one-click sold-out handling, on your own website with your own Stripe account. 5% per order, only when you sell. No subscription, no setup fee, no contract. Nothing else.

Pre-orders, the way bakeries take them

  • Customers pick a 15-minute pickup window inside your posted hours, from as soon as your prep time allows up to 7 days ahead. Saturday's order can be placed on Wednesday.
  • Your prep time is respected automatically: nobody can order a box of pastries for five minutes from now if you need thirty.
  • A notes field rides each item for simple requests ("sliced", "candles included"). Photos on items sell the case better than names alone.

Selling out is the business model

  • When the last sourdough goes, 86 it in one click and it leaves the menu instantly. Tomorrow morning, one click brings it back.
  • Sold through everything? Pause ordering until you resume, and the page tells customers honestly that you are closed rather than taking orders you cannot fill.
  • Menu changes are draft-then-publish: build tomorrow's specials tonight, publish when the ovens confirm.

The counter rush, unbothered

Online orders land on the kitchen display app, not on the phone during the morning line. Accept with a prep time and the customer's status page shows when to come. If an order sits unaccepted, Delitero repushes after 60 seconds, texts you after 2 minutes, and calls after 4.

The money

Payments settle directly into your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect; Delitero never holds funds. Card processing is Stripe's standard rate (2.9% + $0.30, varies by card), paid to Stripe, not us. The math suits bakery tickets: 5% of a $20 pastry box is $1, and a January with thin sales costs proportionally, not a fixed subscription.

What Delitero does not do

Custom cake work does not fit a menu grid: there are no custom order forms, no deposits, and no back-and-forth quoting. Keep taking fully custom orders by phone or email, and use Delitero for everything with a fixed price. There are no customer accounts or loyalty punch cards, and no email marketing for the weekly specials list. Delivery exists only with your own drivers. US only.
