Add ordering to Shopify

Delitero is launching soon. Join the waitlist and we will email you when it opens.

The same menu and checkout, living inside your own page on your own domain.

Shopify sells products; Delitero takes food orders. Running both is normal, and the embed lives on an ordinary Shopify page rather than in the product catalogue.

In the admin, go to Online Store, then Pages, and create a page called Order online. In the content editor, switch to the HTML view (the "<>" button in the toolbar) and paste the snippet:

<div data-delitero-restaurant="rst_9f2a64d1-7c3e-4b8a-9d21-8e5f0a6c4b7e" style="height: 640px; max-width: 480px">
  <a href="https://order.delitero.com/r/rst_9f2a64d1-7c3e-4b8a-9d21-8e5f0a6c4b7e">Order online</a>
</div>
<script src="https://order.delitero.com/embed.js" defer></script>

Some themes strip <script> tags from page content. If ordering does not appear, keep the div on the page and move the script tag into your theme instead: Online Store, Themes, Edit code, and add it just before </body> in theme.liquid. The div and the script do not have to be next to each other.

Do not add the snippet to a product template. Delitero handles its own cart and checkout, and mixing it into Shopify's cart is the one arrangement that will confuse a customer about who they are paying.

Works everywhere, or the link does

Whatever your website can or cannot embed, the hosted ordering page always works as a plain link. Sizing, isolation guarantees, and single-page-app notes are on the Add ordering to your site overview.
