BentoBox alternative: what changed and what to do about it
BentoBox is no longer available as a standalone product. Its own pricing page now reads "BentoBox is now Clover" and states that BentoBox products and services are currently only available to Clover POS customers. If you are not on Clover, or do not want to be, you need a different way to take orders on your own website. Delitero is one: a hosted ordering page and an embeddable widget, payments into your own Stripe account, at 5% per order with no monthly fee and no POS requirement.
What BentoBox is
BentoBox made its name building polished, hospitality-grade websites for restaurants, with online ordering, catering, and events tools layered on. It is now part of Clover, Fiserv's POS platform, and is sold into that ecosystem. For a restaurant already running Clover POS that wants a designed website with integrated ordering and catering, BentoBox remains a strong, mature option.
What BentoBox costs
BentoBox does not publish pricing, and access now runs through Clover. Third-party reporting before and around the transition gives a rough shape, all of which should be treated as indicative:
- Website packages reported at about $279 per month (Foundations) and $479 per month (Signature), with website-only plans reported from $119 per month; these are legacy figures from before the Clover transition
- Online ordering reported from about $49 per month plus a $0.99 per-order fee and 3% card processing; third-party sources disagree on which add-on carries the $0.99 fee, and BentoBox publishes nothing
- Current pricing requires a Clover sales conversation

Where Delitero differs
- No POS requirement. Delitero runs with whatever POS you have, or none. There is no ecosystem to join.
- Your own Stripe account. Payments settle directly into your Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Delitero never holds your money.
- Your own site. Delitero does not design websites. You embed the ordering widget on the site you already have, or use the hosted ordering page.
- Pay only when you sell. 5% per order, only when you sell. No subscription, no setup fee, no contract. Nothing else. Card processing is Stripe's standard rate (2.9% + $0.30, varies by card), paid to Stripe, not us.
- Self-serve: no sales process, live in an afternoon.
Who should pick BentoBox
- Restaurants already on Clover POS, or planning to be: the integration and the designed website are the point
- Hospitality groups that want an agency-quality web presence with catering and events tooling. Delitero has none of that.
- Anyone who wants a vendor relationship with onboarding and account support
Who should pick Delitero
- Restaurants that are not Clover customers and do not want a POS decision bundled into their ordering decision
- Restaurants with an existing website (or a designer) that just need ordering embedded in it
- Owners who want payments in their own Stripe account, portable if they ever leave
- Low or seasonal volume, where paying 5% of actual sales beats a fixed monthly package
